More paths · A brighter you

Is this book for me?

It is particularly relevant if you are an experienced professional who wants to:

This is not a book about quitting your corporate job. You may choose to remain employed for many years. The objective is to build optionality around the career you already have, so that one employer is never your only option.

  • Reduce your dependence on a single employer or source of income
  • Turn your existing expertise into additional opportunities and income streams
  • Explore fractional, advisory, consulting, coaching, project or board work
  • Create more career options without starting again
  • Build greater professional and financial resilience
  • Prepare for career change before change is forced upon you

Closing the Gap

My weekly note on life sciences, leadership, growth, portfolio careers and what's changing next. I share what I'm seeing, learning and questioning from Barcelona, drawing on more than 25 years in the industry and a career now being deliberately built across multiple paths.

No corporate jargon. No pretending to have all the answers. Just ideas worth thinking about.

Beyond the work

Life outside the job title

I was born in Mexico to a Mexican father and a German mother, grew up for eight years in Rome, and then spent more than three decades living between Switzerland and France. Since January 2026, Barcelona has been home, and I absolutely love it.

I'm a mother of three sons, two now at university, and I've always considered myself incredibly lucky. I'm firmly convinced that life is meant to be fun, with plenty of travel, mountains, good food and interesting people along the way.

When I'm not working, you'll usually find me travelling, hiking in any season, cooking, or doing one of my favourite things: bringing people together around a table.
